Exceptional Quality

MadMicrobe is a specialist studio — we work exclusively in life science and broadcast, not as a generalist production house that takes on occasional medical work.

That specialisation means our team speaks your language from the first call, understands what matters to an HCP versus an investor audience, and knows how to build an animation that will hold up under scientific scrutiny.

Every project at MadMicrobe is treated as a unique piece of work. We do not recycle assets or apply generic visual templates. Our animations of oncology MOAs look and feel different from our structural biology work, because the science demands a different approach, and our clients’ audiences deserve one.

Our Scientific Process

Great medical animation begins long before the render farm. Every MadMicrobe project moves through a structured, phased production process, from scientific brief and script development through master illustration, storyboard, animatic, and final render, with formal client review built into each stage.

We work in close collaboration with your medical affairs and regulatory teams from the outset, ensuring scientific rationale is documented and the narrative is approved before animation begins. This approach reduces costly late-stage revisions and ensures your final deliverable is ready for congress, MLR, or regulatory submission without last-minute surprises.

Budget Attentive

We understand that pharma and biotech animation projects are typically governed by defined budgets and tight timelines.

With over 20 years of production experience, we have developed efficient workflows that allow us to deliver consistently high-quality work within commercial constraints.

Where budgets require it, we can propose alternative production approaches including 2D, 2.5D, or stylised 3D techniques that maintain scientific accuracy while reducing production time and cost. Assets are produced with reuse in mind from the outset, allowing clients to maximise value across multiple formats and channels.
