What is included in the animation scope?
Our “script-to-screen” service includes everything you need for a finished animation. We manage the entire process, from script, storyboards, and styleframes to final CG animation. Your project will be delivered in any resolution you need (including HD and 4K), and can be packaged with supplemental print materials or PowerPoint slides. We also handle all audio, including music, sound design, and professional narration. For a more immersive experience, we can extend the project into VR, AR, or 360-degree video.
How is quality and accuracy assured across the animation process?
We ensure the highest quality and scientific accuracy through a meticulous, multi-stage review process led by our team of science experts and artists. From the very beginning, we work closely with your team to guarantee that the core science is correct. Accuracy is built-in at every step, starting with a heavily researched and client-approved script. This serves as the foundation for the entire project. Throughout the storyboarding, design, and animation phases, we have dedicated checkpoints for your review and feedback, ensuring the visual representation is both cinematically beautiful and scientifically precise. This collaborative, iterative process guarantees the final animation is a true and accurate reflection of your vision.
How long does it take to create a typical medical animation?
While every project has unique needs, a standard animation is typically completed in about 12 weeks through a phased approach. Our process is built for clarity and collaboration, ensuring you are involved at every critical step.
Script (3 Weeks): This foundational stage involves working closely with your team to research and write a scientifically accurate script that effectively tells your story.
Storyboard and Styleframes (3 Weeks): Once the script is approved, we create the visual blueprint. Storyboards map out the sequence of shots, while styleframes establish the distinct aesthetic, color palette, and overall feel of your animation.
Animatic/Rough Cut (3 Weeks): This is where your animation begins to take shape. We create a rough-cut animatic, which is a simplified version of the final product, to establish the timing, pacing, and flow of the narrative before committing to final, detailed rendering.
Final Deliverable (3 Weeks): In the final stage, we complete the detailed animation, adding textures, lighting, and visual effects. This phase also includes professional sound design, music, and narration before we render and deliver the final high-resolution video files.
Our timelines are designed to be comprehensive, and we specifically allot time within each phase for crucial client, legal, and regulatory reviews. Your feedback and approval are required at each milestone before we proceed, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned from script to screen.
Can timelines for projects be expediated?
Yes, absolutely. While our standard timelines are structured to ensure ample time for creativity and review, we excel at meeting aggressive deadlines. We understand that opportunities and events can require a much faster turnaround. Expediting a project is a collaborative effort that relies on a streamlined workflow and decisive communication. By working closely with your team to ensure prompt feedback and approvals, we can significantly shorten the production schedule. To meet your deadline, our team can propose alternative production strategies, such as utilizing simpler CG styles, or employing 2D or 2.5D animation techniques which can be both highly effective and more efficient.
